With Love, Nareka

The WLA interview series highlights various guests, diving into the ways they make time for playful exploration. What quotes do they live by? What brings them joy? These brief interviews seek to celebrate their unique perspectives, learn from their inspirations, and uncover a glimpse of their everyday world through the planners they use.

Nareka Jacques

Tell us a bit about who you are and a little about your creative routine.

Hi, my name is Nareka Jacques, and I'm an influencer based out of Victoria, BC focusing on all things lifestyle, home, and motherhood! My creative routine typically starts with a morning ritual - whether it's journaling, being in the garden, or having my favourite warm drink. Being in nature, or spending time reflecting, helps to clear my mind and sparks my creativity!

What’s your favourite way to use a planner?

My favourite way to use a planner is definitely to keep myself organized but with a fun twist. While I use it for organization - tracking deadlines, appointments, and content schedules, I also love using it to track and set goals for myself. Visually mapping out my goals and the steps I'm going to take to achieve them helps to keep me on track - plus doing it in a cute planner definitely helps!

What activities nourish your soul and give you joy?

Being in the garden, nature, or in a cute coffee shop with special company, are some of the ways I feel nourished and when I feel the most joy.

Do you have any quotes you live by, or something that inspires you daily?

My daughter is one of my biggest inspirations. Getting to watch her experience everything for the first time is like magic. It's so special, and it's made me stop in my tracks to appreciate all of the little things as if for the first time.

What’s one thing on your life bucket list?

A huge ticket item on my bucket list is to travel more! I want to travel all across Europe and indulge in yummy food, walk through cute towns, and admire the beautiful architecture. I also want to go and see where my parents grew up in Sri Lanka!
